Addressing of Issues Impacting Teachers Negatively

The collective leadership of the Teacher Unions, namely GNAT, NAGRAT, and CCT-GH, have jointly expressed their discontent with recent developments and addressing on the issues impacting teachers negatively and the overall tranquility within the education sector.
Eric Agbe-Carbonu, King Ali Awudu, and Thomas T. Musah signed a statement on February 29, 2024, articulating their concerns.
One of the primary grievances raised by the Teacher Unions revolves around the delay in the negotiations for the Collective Agreement. Despite the agreed-upon deadline of February 29, 2024, established during the adoption of the rules of engagement, the negotiations have not been concluded due to the government’s lack of action and continuous stream of excuses.

The Teacher Unions vehemently object to the government’s conduct and insist on a prompt resolution to the issues impacting teachers negatively.
