Akufo Addo has emptied the public purse he promised to protect, ready to empty yours

Akufo Addo has emptied the public purse he promised to protect, now emptying our private purses with empty leadership moves.

Africa and Ghana has a leadership crisis which many of us have not realized. Those voted into power as well as their appointees lack the leadership skills and expertise needed to manage the leadership position and its attended responsibilities. Instead we have politicians hijacking leadership positions at all levels and failing to deliver.

The president of Ghana may look like a nation building leader, but I bet to differ. He is instead more of a destroying element. The worse a bad leader can do is to leave those he is governing in the state in which he took over, and not to worsen their plights.

Sadly, the leadership of President Akufo Addo is very destructive and wasteful no matter how good you try to polish it. Before he took over as president of this country, he promised to protect the public purse. Protecting the public purse means ensuring Ghana gets value for money, strategic spending is done, corruption is fought from within government to project a leader who is ready to fight his one corrupt appointees.

But this has not been the case. As if that is not enough insult to the Ghanaian people, the government has engaged in impulse led spending and expenditures that have brought no economic value to the people of Ghana.

End of Term Exams

We are a building a national cathedral when resources are needed for value creation projects to transform the economy.

Government has over borrowed to higher debt levels never recorded in the history of Ghana with little to show for. The government has also spent every penny they inherited from the previous government and plunged the economy into the ditch.

The promise to protect the public purse has failed a million times from the actions and in actions of the president and his ministers with the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta acting as the arrow head leading the wasteful expenditures and reckless borrowing.

Now, we do not have anything in the public purse to survive as a nation. Private individuals and business are now being punished for the economic mismanagement and wasteful spending of a clueless government. They are now entering into the private purse of individuals and business and denying them of their investments.

Giving all manner of hair cuts which are affecting the principal of investments made in government bonds.

The NPP government is a shameful bunch of people who have made Ghana become worse off.

All these happenings translate into one thing, and that is the absence of leadership. President Akuffo Addo has failed to show leadership. He does not have the magic script needed to lead this nation.

Everything has been messed up by a government which created the serious mess. A leader in the capacity of the President must have self leadership and radiate it to lead his Ministers, government machinery and the people.

I bet to differ that, Ghana has no listening leader, Ghana has no leader, Ghana only has a politician who has lost touch with leadership skills, decision-making and for that matter the act of making tough and unpopular decisions which bring the popular results.

If our President listens to good council, Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta should have been kicked out long ago. Our leadership has been blinded by party allegiance instead of allegiance to the people of Ghana.

The President does not seem to bother about the hardship you and I go through as a result of their reckless borrowing, wasteful spending and disregard for the complaints and cries of the ordinary Ghanaian.

President Akufo Addo has not only failed every leadership test and quality assurance, but also has failed himself, and he knows it. He is aware that the ordinary Ghanaian will easily tag him as unreliable and a person not worth trusting.

To add to the injury and pain of Ghanaians, the Majority group in parliament staged a walk out during the Censure Vote against the bad performing Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta and kept him in office so that he can continue to mess the nation up.

Congratulations to all of us for voting for Nana Addo. Would you say you are excited with all that is happening in the country under his leadership? If you say yes, posterity will judge you and truth has departed from you.

Our president… eiii hmmmm Ghana. This leadership is counter productive, wasteful, and lacks the out of the box ideas to silence problems and great lasting opportunities.
