The Academic Calendar for the 2023/2024 academic year has been revealed. Let’s take a look at the list of all activities found on the academic calendar.
Endorsed by PRINCOF, the Ghana Teacher Education Council (GTEC), and the Ministry of Education, the approved calendar will govern the academic activities of all forty-six public Colleges of Education across the nation.
Notable recipients of this announcement include Vice Chancellors from prestigious institutions such as the University of Cape Coast (UCC), University for Development Studies (UDS), University of Education Winneba (UEW), University of Ghana (UG), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
A distinctive feature of the upcoming academic year is the introduction of a new Residential Policy named IN-IN-IN-OUT. Under this policy, students from Levels 100 to 300 will share campus accommodations, fostering shared experiences and collaborative learning. In contrast, Level 400 students will commute for lectures, adding a unique dynamic to the academic landscape.
Dr. Addae-Boateng emphasized the importance of stakeholders recognizing this significant shift, highlighting that the Academic Calendar will run concurrently for all students throughout the year. This adjustment aims to streamline academic activities and enhance the overall educational experience.
The calendar provides key dates and activities for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This includes the following Activities;
- January 10, 2024 : B.Ed Level 400 students report to campus for orientation for Macro Teaching.
