Education Ministry Asks BECE graduates with placement issues to do this

The Ministry of Education has asked all BECE graduates with placement issues to get in touch with the ministry through its call centre to help resolve their issues.
Candidates, Parents, and Guardians can call the call center number in case they have issues.
Those who want to change their schools, candidates who believe they have been placed in a school they never chose, and all others with diverse challenges are required to get the best responses and solutions from the Ministry of Education through the call centers.
The ministry has posted saying “We are ready for your #Placement concerns.8 am -5 pm daily.
Since the release of the 2021 School placement, students have been asking very important questions, with the most common one being “Can I change my school placement?”
Over 180,000 students were asked to do the self-placement, however, some of those who have been automatically placed are not excited about the schools they were placed in. Parents have also been caught up in the disappointment.
Sampled views and comments that need urgent responses from the Ministry of Education are shared below.
“A child’s desire is to study technical course, you are encouraging us to go TVET, I chose 4 technical schools for my ward, one compulsory day school, and u gave a student who to study plumbing work to go and do general arts.
But I mean, how is it because the government can’t pay the boarding fee?
What is going on?”
The number to call is 0302987654
I had my day compulsory at Kwabenya snr high, but I stay at Budumburam Kasoa….can I take a transfer, please?
Am to do self-placement and I selected a school later to be told the program is full. So why is that school and program still on the list….. please, we need answers?

How can you give my boy the compulsory day school when he got aggregate 13. Not even the 2nd or 3rd choice?
They will call and you will not pick and even when you pick the concern will not be addressed, GES driven by the decision of the politicians.

    • We are not sure you both chose the same schools and arranged them the same way. Again, the raw scores that gave both of you an aggregate of 23 and 25 may not be the same. Someone can make an aggregate 25 and still have a raw score that is better than yours.

  1. I had grade 20 and I got my 4th choice school which I didn’t select but was given to me as auto placement.

Also why didn’t I even get my 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. My friend who had grade 22 had his first choice school, why?

    • You did not chosse the same schools so you cannot compare your 20 to your friend’s 22. What if he was the best student who chose that school and you were the worse student who chose the schools you selectected.
