This young teacher’s name is Mr. Sampson Adu. He died at the tender age of 30.

He is reported to be a product of Enchi College of Education and a recent graduate of this noble institution. According to some sources, this young teacher is a national service personnel teaching or serving on an Island called Agamkope. The only route that can convey both teachers and students to and fro the school is the Oti Volta Lake.
Most Ghanaians shared their condolences with the family and closed friends of the deceased. Others expressed their decision never to accept posting into areas which can endanger their lives. One Ghanaian also revealed another dimension to this issue with his experience at the area in question.
“Rest well senior. Let us blame some of the Boat drivers. I went to Banda in Kete Krachi last month. When we got to Dambai, the regional capital, there was a heavy wind blowing through the river. Our pontoon boat refused to cross to other side
Buh these small boat driver didn’t mind. He packed all the motors, human and foodstuffs into his boat with this heavy wind.
In the middle of the river , you could clearly see the drivers(two) were suffering because the wind wanted to give them direction.
I wasn’t happy till they crossed the river without majority wearing life jacket except the two drivers who can swim .
Up to now I’m not happy with what I saw”.
May Mr. Sampson’s soul rest in perfect peace and our condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Sampson Adu.
