Gas Tanker Driver and Conductor Hospitalized After Accident and Fire in Kumasi

A gas tanker driver and his conductor have been rushed to the hospital following a severe accident in Sokoban Ampayoo, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
The vehicle fell on its side and caught fire, leading to a prolonged effort by firefighters to put out the flames.
According to DO3 Peter Addai, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service in the Ashanti region, the fire service received a distress call about the fire at 10:35 am.
He further stated that the fire service quickly mobilized and sent four fire tenders to the scene, where they found the gas tanker lying on its side and ablaze.
Despite the severity of the situation, the firefighters were successful in preventing the fire from spreading to other areas, ensuring the safety of the surrounding community.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, and updates on the condition of the gas tanker driver and conductor will be provided as they become available.
