The GES’ late announcement of the postponement of the SHS reopening date for SHS students to May 5 has not gone down well with the general public. The new date according to the GES was based on suggestions by CHASS.
The postponement of reopening for the 2021 WASSCE candidates was to ensure that they secure at least 1,080 instructional hours needed for them to complete their syllabus.
The final year students are expected to sit the 2021 WASSCE between September and October this year. However, per the new reopening date, they have to spend more days at home until 5th May.
