The move is aimed at gathering accurate and up-to-date information on the number of teachers and learners in basic schools. This data will enable the GES to make informed decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and curriculum development.
The GES has assured that the data collected will be treated with confidentiality and used solely for educational purposes. It is hoped that this initiative will contribute to the overall improvement of education in Ghana, particularly at the basic level.
In a statement, Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the Ag. Director of Schools and Instructions Division, called on all regional directors to cooperate fully with the exercise and ensure that all heads of basic schools participate.
