GES Responds to Revised Reopening Date for Double-Track SHS & Technical Schools

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has reacted to the news of a revised reopening date for Double-Track SHS and Technical Schools. In a press release, the management of GES clarified that it has not changed the reopening date.
The letter to which GES responded indicated that the reopening date had changed from 28th July to 4th August, 2025. Parents, teachers, headteachers, and students are to note that GES has not altered the academic calendar and that the existing dates on the 2024–2025 calendar remain the same.
GES, in response to the alleged change in the reopening date, marked the said letter as FAKE.

RESCHEDULING OF REOPENING DATE FOR FORM TWO STUDENTS FROM 28th JULY TO 4th AUGUST, 2025
Management of the Ghana Educational Service wishes to inform all Heads of double-track Senior High and Senior Technical Schools that the reopening for Form One students has been rescheduled to 4th August, 2025.
By this letter, Regional Directors of Education are requested to communicate this information to all Heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools to inform parents/guardians and students to take note of the new date and prepare accordingly.
