The ultimate aim of most students in Ghana is to get a well-paying job after school. Going to the university or school for several years teaches you so many things which will eventually help you at work someday.

In Ghana, most university graduates become desperate after school because there are not enough jobs in the country for them. Some stay at home until there is a vacancy at the public sector. Others get jobs in various private institutions in Ghana, while the rest try to venture into their own businesses using some skills they have.

Some tertiary institutions in Ghana have thought it wise of how students suffer after school, seeking for employment. For this reason, they make available some jobs for students even before they graduate.

1. Teacher Training Colleges In Ghana

Unlike universities like UEW and UCC, all students who enter the various teacher training colleges in Ghana have their jobs secured before graduation. The government of Ghana posts these students into various public basic schools in the country. Students who did Education at UEW, AAMUSTED, UCC, UDS and other universities are disadvantaged to this offer.

This is similar to that of the Colleges of Education. Government of Ghana posts all students in these colleges to various clinics and hospitals in Ghana right after school. Jobs for these students are always secured. Sometimes, posting delays but the government will eventually post them.

3. Some Private Universities In Ghana

There are some private universities in Ghana that lobby for jobs for their students before graduation. They have links with various firms in Ghana where their students go to after graduation.

These firms even train these students during internship programmes to give them the necessary skills and experience before graduation. Such services are all included in the fees of students. This is why the fees of most Private universities in Ghana look expensive.
