The Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani announces for the information of the general public and interested applicants, vacancy for the following positions. Council hereby invites applications from qualified and interested applicants for the respective positions which would become vacant effective 1st August, 2023.

Title: Director Of Finance

The Director of Finance is the Head of the Finance Directorate and shall be responsible, under the Vice-Chancellor, for the financial administration of the University.

Qualification Required & Experience

The Applicant must:

• Possess both professional qualification and relevant postgraduate degree
• Be a member of any professional Accounting and Finance body, preferably:

O Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA)
O Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
O Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
O Certified Accountant (CA)

• Have served in a University or analogous institution as Principal Accountant/Deputy Director of Finance for a minimum of 3 years or a minimum of 15 years post professional qualification experience in a university or analogous institution

Terms of Appointment

The appointment, which is full-time, shall be for 5 years in the first instance and may be subject to renewal for another term of up to 5 years but not beyond the retiring age of 60 years. The successful applicant must be able to serve the full term of 5 years before attaining the compuslory statutory retirement age of 60 years
