Do you know you can follow simple but effective, laid-down steps to Link Your Ghana Card to your Bank Account?
Effective 1st July, the only card to be used as means of identification in Banks will be Ghana Card as well. Banks across the country have started sending notifications to their client on this.
To ensure banks adhere to the Bank of Ghana Anti-Money Laundering policy directive, banks have put in place steps and procedures to assist their customers to update their records with them.
Knowing the steps to follow to link your Ghana card to all your bank accounts will also help give your accounts a better layer of protection. If you are ready to know the procedures, keep reading.
Step 1: Log onto the GBC portal for this by going to https://epay.gcbltd.com:200/
Step 2: Click on the Link My Card option
Step 3: Enter your bank account correctly and click continue
Step 4: Choose the option to receive the Authorization Code either via email or text message (Phone)
Step 5: Enter the Authorization Code you received to verify that you are the owner of the account.
Step 6: Enter your Ghana Card ID number as required by the portal.
Step 7: Take a photo of the Ghana Card and upload it to the portal

Step 1: Log onto the GBC portal for this by going to https://epay.gcbltd.com:200/
Step 2: Click on the Ghana Card Linking Status option
Step 3: Enter the Ghana Card ID number and click on continue
For customers who operate a bank account with Fidelity Bank, you can start linking Fidelity Bank Account to the GC, go to [LINK GHANACARDWITHFIDELITYACCOUNT
Since Fidelity bank has not disclosed the full procedure and the requirements for linking your card we are unable to give you enough details however ensure you have a picture of your card (Front and Back) on your device before starting the process. Do have the card with you as well.
Step 1: Go to https://apps2.zenithbank.com.gh/ghanacard/#/login
Step 2: Fill in your details such as Account Name, Phone Number, and Date of Birth as required.
Step 3: Enter your Ghana Card details to link it to your Bank Account.
The GT Bank process for linking Ghana cards is shredded in security as the portal does not provide users with easy-to-follow procedures and the information they need to complete the process Have your Ghana card before starting the process.
To Link your GT Bank Account to your Ghana Card would be required to, first of all, verify your Bank Account Number. To go through the process go here [LINK NOW]
The Prudential Bank process for linking the Ghana Card is also not totally available and hence not user friendly however customers can attempt to connect their Account by going to PrudentialGhanacardLink
To link the bank account at ABSA, upload a scanned copy of the Ghana Card to the email Ghanacardupdates@absa.africa
For other banks, check your bank’s customer service to know the procedures they have put in place.
