Man Fakes Heart Attack To Avoid Paying Restaurant Bills
A man from Lithuania has been arrested in Spain for faking heart attack in order to avoid paying restaurant bills for over 20 restaurants.
The man, whose name is currently unavailable, managed to dupe around 20 restaurants, primarily located in Spain’s Costa Blanca area. His secrets of action involved an elaborate act of faking heart attacks.

After placing orders for food and drinks, he would theatrically clutch his chest and collapse on the floor, creating the a scene of a medical emergency.
This, according to report, has been going on successfully until a vigilant restaurant owner saw through his charade and took action. This owner warned other local eateries about the man’s deceptive heart-attack routine.

In a recent incident at a restaurant called El Buen Comer in Alicante, the man went there, had diner, enjoyed their seafood paella and a few shots of whisky. When presented with the bill, he attempted to leave without paying, but the restaurant staff intervened. As he tried to exit, he resorted to his usual act of feigning a heart attack.
However, the restaurant’s employees remained unconvinced by his performance and promptly alerted the police instead of calling for medical assistance. Upon the police’s arrival, the man continued his act, unaware that the officers had recognized him from previous encounters with other restaurants in Alicante.

Reports from Spanish media indicate that this 50-year-old individual has gained a certain notoriety among restaurant owners in the Costa Blanca region. He first appeared in Alicante in November 2022 and has since become infamous for his heart attack routine.
While he often escapes paying the bill, he appears unfazed when the police become involved, seemingly aware that their ability to stop him is limited. He doesn’t mind spending a night or two in jail before resuming his scamming endeavors. He has now been sentenced to jail for 42 days for his acts.
