Missing Taxi Driver Found Dead Without His Head In Uncompleted Building In Central Region

A 28-year-old taxi driver was killed and dumped in an unfinished Senior High School building at Ajumako Mando in the Central Region’s Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.

According to sources, the victim, Bernard Botwey, who runs a taxi service from Ekumfi Esaakyir to Ajumako, was missing for three days after three men hired him to take them to Enyan Abaasa on Saturday, October 29, 2022, but he never returned home.

His fellow drivers and family alerted the police, but he was never found. Several posters of the missing taxi driver appeared on social media platforms, pleading for help from anyone who may have seen the driver before his disappearance and subsequent death.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, around 2:00 PM, people in the vicinity of the school detected a foul odor. They followed the scent and came across an almost-decomposed man with cutlass wounds all over him.

When the Ajumako District Police responded to the call and arrived on the scene, the deceased was identified as the missing driver, known among his coworkers as “Wire.”

While the case is being investigated by the Ajumako District Police Command, the body has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

This comes just three days after a 58-year-old deaf and dumb charcoal burner at Fetteh Kakraba was killed and her head and vagina were severed on her own farm in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District.

The deceased left her home on the evening of Saturday, October 29, 2022, to check on her charcoal but did not return.

A resident, Abubakar Sulemana, claimed that he and a group of youth had gone to clean up the Muslim graveyard when they discovered the mother-of-three woman was missing.

He claimed that after deciding to look for the woman, they discovered her dead body, which had been dumped in a thicket and had been partially dismembered.
