The use of these Monkey bars has long been associated with increasing body height amongst children or teenagers. It is a piece of playground equipment consisting of a horizontally mounted overhead ladder, from which children may swing.
In their growing years, kids are encouraged to route the bars with the intention of increasing their body height.
This cliche has now transgressed and is only considered a myth after significant research and scientific evidence.

Reportedly, recent studies show that where bar usage plays a vital role in maintaining good posture and balance, it’s contribution towards increasing body height is very little. In fact, it has a more pronounced effect on one’s limb length.
More importantly, the term “monkey bars” attributes to the way monkeys traverse through the jungle from one branch to another using their limbs. The idea is to climb the bars in a manner similar to that of a “monkey.”
Now, through practical experience doctors have come to the realization that hanging or climbing bars only significantly increases limb length and not body height, similar to that of a “monkey” who has limbs longer than its entire body or trunk.
