The main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress is electing its parliamentary candidates and presidential candidate today as part of efforts to prepare for the December 7th, 2024 general elections.
At the time of receiving the update, voting was yet to commence at Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency in the ongoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary and presidential primaries.
Materials for the conduct of the NDC primaries which were to be delivered yesterday are now on their way from the Juaben Constituency per the information available.
Officially, the voting process was supposed to have started at 7 am this morning. it is unclear why the delay on the part of the Electoral Commission (EC).
Those vying for the parliamentary candidate slot in the Sekyere Afram Plains are the incumbent NDC MP Alex Adomako–Mensah, Dr. Kwabena Duffor Jnr, Hajia Nasira Afrah, and Edward Brenyah.
Per updates available, delegates who will be casting their votes have been camped since last night by the contestants trying to woo them in their favour.
