New Fees!! NTC Sends Latest Message To All Teachers In Ghana.

The National Teaching Council NTC sends a message to all teachers in the country about teacher license fees and license renewal fees. The National Teaching Council NTC is responsible for regulating and recruiting the teacher force. In terms of responsibility, the National Teaching Council NTC supervises the conduct of teachers’ licensure examinations in Ghana.

In a recent update from the National Teachers Council NTC, a new fee structure has been approved and teachers are therefore expected to be notified by the recent update. In total accumulation, the total amount of money released is 350 Ghana Cedis. The National Teaching Council went further and gave a breakdown of the total amount of money as given below.

I write to respectfully inform you that the National Teaching Council is, from this year 2023, implementing fully the fees as approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.

The National Teaching Council is authorized by the Fee and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 to levy its clientele to support its regulatory functions.

1. Licence card – GH¢ 200.00

2. Renewal of licence – GH¢100.00

3. Registration of teachers – GH¢ 50.00

You are therefore requested to bring this to the attention of your employees”.- NTC sends A message to all teachers.  

On the issue related to the recent teacher licensure examination which ended on 15th September 2023; the PRO of the National Teachers Council NTC made it clear on Peace FM that the pass mark has been pegged at 70%. This came as a surprise to most of the candidates as they were not aware that the pass mark had been increased from 50% to 70%. It is very bad for the National Teaching Council NTC to announce the passing mark for the just-ended Teacher Licensure Examination after the examination and not before the examination.  Candidates are very disappointed in NTC.
