New laptops to be extended to private school teachers – GNACOPS
The government’s one teacher one laptop project for teachers will be extended to cover private school teachers.
This was hinted by The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS).
New laptops for Private school teachers
The laptops when distributed are expected to be used by teachers to improve teaching and learning at the Pre Tertiary level. The inclusion of teachers in private schools as beneficiaries was disclosed in a statement sighted by Ghanaeducation.org.
To this end, GNACOPS has invited all stakeholders, administrators, and proprietors to be present at a meeting at the Kwabenya Community Secondary School, at 9:00 am on April 22.
Other important issues to be tabled at the meeting include private school teachers licensing.
A total of 280,000 brand new laptops will be distributed to teachers nationwide according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Members of teacher unions, GNAT, NAGRAT, and CCT will benefit from the one teacher one laptop project of the government.

“I am happy to announce the government is facilitating 280,000 laptops to members of the GNAT, NAGRAT, and CCT,” Akufo-Addo stated in this year’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Tuesday, March 9 in Parliament.
