Newly trained teachers postings have been released by the GES releases. The released postings include graduates from 2019, 2018 & 2017 College of Education (CoE) graduates.

In a press lease dated 3rd November, the GES asked applicants to check their status on the recruitment portal.

The release of newly trained teachers postings comes after the teachers gave the GES 48 hours to release their postings or they would stage a nationwide demonstration.
The strong message of the teacher, therefore, compelled the GES to take proactive decisions to safeguard the chances of the ruling NPP government going into the December polls.
According to the GES, each of the sixteen regions received Newly trained teachers posted based on the vacancies in such regions.
The Northern region topped the postings chart with some 12.5 of total teachers posted. Western, Upper East, and Upper West regions followed with10%, 8.8%, and 8.5% respectively.
Whiles the GES has instructed all Newly trained teachers posted to go to their regional Directors to complete the needed documentation.
According to the Ghana Education Service, those posted apart from completing their CoE programmes also passed the teacher licensure exam, completed the mandatory National Services,. and applied for appointment through the GES recruitment portal
Schools are expected to open in January after 10 months of inactivity dues to the coronavirus.
The GES did not however disclose the exact number of Newly trained teachers posted to all the 16 regions.
When can the Newly trained teachers posted start their documentation at the Regions?
It is expected that teachers would access their postings at a cost of GHS10.00 via the recruitment portal. Given that, the elections are just around the corner; we expect teachers to start trouping to the various regions where they have been posted to from Tuesday, 8th December to commence the documentation ahead of school reopening.
