Prempeh College wins in first-ever Senior Sharks contest
Prempeh College, a prestigious high school known for its academic excellence, marked its debut in the Senior Sharks Quiz Season 7 with resounding wins, showcasing the depth of talent among its students.
In their first appearance in this esteemed competition, Prempeh College faced off against Hope College, a formidable private school, in a challenging series of rounds that tested a range of skills from social literacy to STEM.
The contest began with the Right Corner Round, where teams answered social literacy questions. Prempeh College quickly took the lead, scoring 20 points to Hope College’s 10.

The competition intensified in the R Cubed Round, featuring questions on Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. Both schools performed well, but Prempeh maintained their lead with 40 points to Hope’s 35.
However, it was during the STEM Round that Prempeh College truly distinguished themselves. While Hope College struggled, failing to score any points, Prempeh excelled, answering riddle after riddle correctly and extending their lead by an additional 45 points.
The tension peaked in the One-on-One Round, where specialists from each school faced off in subjects including English, Math, Science, and General Knowledge.
Despite valiant efforts, Hope College could not close the gap, which had widened to a significant 70 points by the final round. Prempeh’s specialists, particularly in Science and General Knowledge, shone brightly, securing their victory with a final score of 125 points to Hope’s 35.
This impressive win not only puts Prempeh College on the map in the Senior Sharks Quiz arena but also sets a high standard for their future performances.
As they advance to face Sonrise Christian High in their next matchup, all eyes will be on Prempeh to see if they can maintain their momentum and possibly secure a top position in this national academic challenge.
The Sharks Quiz, powered by the Academic Talent Development Program and produced by Adesa Production Limited, continues to be a platform for showcasing and nurturing academic talent, with the support of partners like MTN, Fidelity Bank, and several prestigious educational institutions.
