Prices of Result Checkers & School Placement Cards Up – WAEC

The West African Examination Council  (WAEC) has increased the wholesale price of WAEC Result Checkers and WAEC School Placement Cards.

Reliable information available to ExamHall.org shows that prices have gone up by not less than GHS2.00 for the cards.

Thus, effective from now, WASSCE result checker cards, NOV/DEC result checker cards, BECE result checker cards and school placement cards retail prices have also gone up.

Other examinations organized by WAEC which require candidates to access their results online were also affected by the increase in prices.

NOV-DEC Result Checker is not selling between GHS17.00 and GHS18.00

School Candidates who want to buy result checkers to access their WASSCE results will have to pay a retail price between GHS17.00 and GHS18.00 just like BECE graduates.

School placement cards are being solved for at least GHS15.00 and at most GHS17.00 for one.

Effective today, all students, parents, and other stakeholders who want to buy new result checkers and school placement checkers should be ready to pay more.

How to buy a Nov/Dec WASSCE Result Checker

Once you are done with the purchase, the Checker Card will be delivered to your phone as an SMS alert. Ensure that you follow the procedure outlined very well, or else your checker card may not come or will be delayed.

  1. Dial *170# to start the buying process for a WAEC checker card
  2. Select Momo Pay from the alternatives on the prompt
  3. Select Pay Bill to proceed
  4. Select General Payment
  5. Enter the payment Code: MAWU
  6. The amount to pay for your checker card is GHS17.00. Enter 17 in the space and proceed
  7. Your reference to enter is NOVDEC
  8. Go on and approve the transaction in your account.

In a related development, the 2023 School candidates’ WASSCE has been scheduled to be written from August to September 2023 whiles the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) would be administered by WAEC in September 2023.

The second semester starts on 19th June 2023 and ends the Semester on 28th September 2023 for the final year students, while the 2023 WASSCE is expected to be administered from July – August 2023.

Candidates of BECE and WASSCE are to note that WAEC is yet to release the official timetables for the two examinations.

Again, the exact start and end dates for both examinations are also not out yet.  WAEC is expected to release the above important information in the coming months.
