Qatar Charity inaugurates Hayaat SHS in Oyibi

Qatar Charity, a non-governmental organization dedicated to humanitarian and developmental aid, has recently inaugurated the Hayaat Senior High School (SHS) in Oyibi Saasabi Akuapem Obosomase, located in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The event was attended by key education stakeholders, local chiefs, an envoy from Qatar, and members of the organization, highlighting the collaborative spirit behind the project.
The newly opened Hayaat SHS is a state-of-the-art facility featuring 10 classrooms, a library, three administrative offices, and 24 washrooms.
In addition to educational facilities, the school complex includes five one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units for staff accommodation, as well as a borehole with a 5,000-litre overhead tank to ensure a sustainable water supply.
The campus also houses a mosque capable of accommodating around 240 worshippers, catering to the spiritual needs of the school community.
During the inauguration ceremony, Hassan Owda, the Director of Qatar Charity, emphasized the organization’s commitment to nurturing the education of future professionals, recognizing the transformative power of education in driving community development.

He was joined by the Deputy Ambassador of Qatar, Hamad El-Sweidi, who echoed the importance of education in societal progress.
Dr. Naseeba Swallah Tahir, the Director of Hayaat SHS, outlined the school’s mission to foster responsible and morally upright individuals who are equipped to tackle societal challenges, including corruption.
She underscored the school’s dedication to producing leaders who would contribute positively to community development.
Expressing gratitude for the project, Nana Donkor Manianor II, the Mankrado of Akuapem Obosomase, thanked Qatar Charity for its significant contribution and provided the land necessary for building the school.
He called for sustained maintenance efforts to preserve the quality of the facilities.
Frances Mishiami, representing the Municipal Director of Education, encouraged ongoing support for the school, highlighting the importance of equipping students with necessary resources for success.
Closing the ceremony, Sheikh Tahir Uttah commended Qatar Charity’s global humanitarian efforts and offered prayers for the organization’s continued success.
The inauguration of Hayaat SHS marks a significant milestone in providing quality education facilities in the region, promising a brighter future for its students and the broader community.
