ECG has showed remorse about the disruption the maintenance may bring and pleaded to the public to be in one accord with them because the main goal of the exercise is to improve the dependability and solidify free flow of the power distribution network across the country.
For the moment, ECG has also been tackling with power failure created by current extensive windstorm and strong wind. The ECG made it clear that, these harsh extensive windstorm have resulted to perilous experiences such as ripped roofs, fallen trees and billboards breaking down onto electrical conductors, causing failure.
ECG stated that when failure resulted by fugacious tripping—non-permanent discontinuations—are mostly replaced shortly after the storms, outages that causes permanent destruction to conductors and feeders consume longer periods to repair as engineers work to sort out the damages.
ECG has requested customers to punctually pass on any occurrence of fallen or weaken conductors and failures within their surroundings. The public can inform occurrences by calling the ECG Call Center on 0302-611611, visiting nearby ECG offices, or finding out via social media at @ECGghOfficial on Instagram Twitter or Facebook.
ECG guaranteed they are always working day in and day out to solidify and maintain a strong supplying network. Pinpointing that their team is still dedicated to tackling failures and making sure customers are secured and feels comfortable in their communities.
The public are motivated to stay vigilant and collaborate with ECG to guarantee problem free maintenance activities and faster refurbishment of supply after outages. “Customers must frequently inspect their formal and proper channels of communication”, the Electricity Company of Ghana requested for within limits redesigns.
