SSNIT to launch Supplementary Readers for JHS and SHS to empower learners with the best knowledge regarding social security issues in Ghana before they reach working age.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in collaboration with The Ghana Education Service will launch the new Supplementary Readers on Social Security today, the 15th of March 2022.
The venue for the historic launch is Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital.
The readers on Social Security were produced in partnership with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA).
The readers also come with teachers’ manuals to assist teachers in the effective and efficient use of the manuals to realize the full benefit expected.
The readers are for learners at the Junior High and Senior High School levels.
SSNIT believes the inclusion of Social Security content in the school curriculum will deepen students’ awareness about Social security. It is also expected to empower them to insist on their rights as future potential workers and future employers.
The event would be streamed live on the SSNIT Facebook platform @ssnitghana
