Two different 2025 BECE timetables released by WAEC: Download Here

Nov/Dec registration closing

The Ghana Education News portal can confirm with certainty that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released two official examination timetables for the 2025 BECE to be administered from June 9th to 16th, 2025.

The two timetables are for two different categories of candidates. The first timetable is for 2025 BECE school candidates and 2024 BECE candidates who are resitting the exam, having been assessed with the new curriculum.

The second 2025 BECE timetable is for all resit candidates who wrote the BECE before 2024. Thus, this set of candidates sat the BECE examination WAEC administered using the old curriculum.

Teachers, parents and all stakeholders should ensure they download the right timetable and use the subject combination to help students prepare for the BECE.

In a related development, parents and candidates are to note that WAEC’s new BECE timetable is different based on the subject arrangement. For instance, the candidates will be writing Social Studies and Computing on day one of the examination instead of the usual English Language and Religious and Moral Education combination.

Teachers are also encouraged to help their learners prepare and follow good personal study timetables.

Learners are to engage in active study practices; thus, revisions and study sessions should not be all about reading but about attempting to solve questions and writing and preparing simplified notes for revision purposes.

Parents should also encourage their learners and motivate them to put in their best. Learners in Basic 8 who are preparing for the 2025 BECE need more support to get them ready for excellent performance.
