UESD, NGO hold renewable energy summit

The UESD, University of Environment and Sustainable Development in partnership with a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), 350 Ghana, Yilo Krobo Municipality, Somanya in the Eastern Region, has organised an inexhaustible energy conference at the university.
UESD community was present at the scheme, and some basic schools in the Yilo Krobo that were nominated. The subject matter for Lower Manya Krobo municipalities was “Powering the future: Transforming COP29 Pledges into Renewable Energy Action’’.
3 board conversation sighted at the responsibilities of regional leadership in speeding up the country’s renewable Energy Transformation, speaking about resources and developing the youth’s frame of mind for tripling Renewable Energy Toward COP 30, Gender Justice in the combat for a equitable moving from one stage to the other and emancipating communities for inexhaustible future.
The conference assembled together specialist industrial directors, research expertise and students to participate in relevant conversations on the future of inexhaustible energy and its important responsibility in attaining justifiable growth.
Charles Wundengba, The Head of Communications, 350 Ghana, when making his outset interpose, he stated that, the purpose of the conference was to expound the central promises made in Azerbaijan at COP 29 into irresistible measures for inexhaustible energy acquisition.
He also said, periodically as general heads had dedicated to rising investment in renewable energy, staging out fossil fuel abate and advancing energy value, promises only cannot do it but irresistible measures must be taken.
Prof. Eric Nyarko-Sampson, the Vice- Chancellor of UESD, said in his outset address that, the main aim of the UESD goes in line with national and global attempts to move straight to renewable, justifiable and accessible energy resources and had courage the conference would issue a brilliant initiative to share ideas, promote cooperation and reveal measures that would move the energy movement forward.
Prof. Eric said, the university’s goal to move forward knowledge and alterations in the aspect of inexhaustible energy was clever and important, taking into considerations we are globally facing challenges of energy reliability, changes in climate and environmental maintenance.
John Agyekum Kufuor Jnr, 350 Ghana Head of Finance sermonising the matter of investment for inexhaustible energy projects, specifically in developing countries covering Africa and also to get an African-based inexhaustible energy measures, then government must bring about policies and operations to decrease the cost of inexhaustible energy technologies like, tariffs, and raise ingress to financing.
He stated clearly that, to expand youth frame of mind on the environment and changes in climate, invested parties, such as metropolitan, academia, municipal and district assemblies should make opportunities available for the youth to engage in making of decisions concerning clean energy and climate change and promote a worldwide conversation around COP 30.
