The Dollar to Ghanaian Cedis Exchange Rate Today 2nd Jan, 2023 shows the gradual appreciation of the dollar against the cedi. This has been the trend since 24th December, 2022 even though the depreciation of the cedi has remained marginal.
The Interbank forex rates from the Bank of Ghana on December 24, 2022, showed that the Ghana Cedi was trading against the dollar at a buying price of 8.2988 and a selling price of 8.3072. At the same time, it was selling at GHS11.50 in forex bureaus and between GHS8.50 and GHS9.50 in banks, thus the Dollar Cedi Exchange Rate is going in favour of the hard currency (Dollar)
As of 1st January 2023, the dollar rate quoted by Afriswap Bureau De Change, one of the trusted source of dollar and other exchange rates, quoted GHS11.00 per $1 as the buying price and GHS12.00 to $1 as the selling price.
At the same time, the US Dollar to Ghanaian Cedis Exchange Rate quoted by the Ghana Association of Forex Bureaux quoted GHS 9.50 and GHS11.50 as the buying and selling prices respectively. All indications show that the buying rate has crossed the GHS9.00 mark and is heading to GHS10.00 per dollar on average.
The Interbank rates of the Bank of Ghana continues to hover around less than GHS8.50 for buying and selling rates of the dollar.
US Dollar to Ghanaian Cedis Exchange Rate for Today, 2nd January 2023
At the start of the day at 8 am on 2nd January, Google quoted $1 to GHS10.18 for the US Dollar to Ghanaian Cedi Exchange Rate by the banks and the interbank rate by the bank of Ghana to give a clear picture of the rates in the open market.
Per the rates quoted for the dollar by Cedi Rates.
At the GCB, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.00 and the sell rate was GHS11.85.
At the Stanbic Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.00 and the sell rate was GHS11.00
At the ABSA, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS8.70 and the sell rate was GHS10.90
At Fidelity Bank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9 and the sell rate was GHS11.80.
At the CalBank, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.00 and the sell rate was GHS11.90
At the Binance P2P, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS10.95 and the sell rate was GHS10.85
At the Ghana Association of Forex Bureaux, the Buy rate for the dollar was GHS9.50 and the sell rate was GHS1150
