WAEC releases 2025 withheld WASSCE for School results online

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of some candidates it withheld over irregularities detected during the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School.
This comes after the not-for-profit-making organisation, after releasing the provisional results of the examination, said it was working to release the withheld WASSCE School results of candidates affected.
The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch (EduWatch), Mr Kofi Asare, who announced the release of the pending examination results in a social media post, said, “WAEC has released a batch of previously withheld results.”
A total of 461,640 final-year Senior High School (SHS) students, made up of 207,381 males and 254,259 females drawn from 1,021 second-cycle schools, participated in the WASSCE for School.
This figure represents a 0.22% increase over the 2024 entry figure of 460,611. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School was taken at 703 centres across the country.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, which commenced on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, with the Visual Art Project work and continued with the written papers on Monday, August 18, 2025, ended on Friday, September 19, 2025.
How to check WASSCE for School results
- Visit the WASSCE result portal
2. Enter your Index Number.
3. Select the Type of Examination (e.g., WASSCE School).
4. Select your Examination Year, eg, 2003.
5. Enter the Serial Number found on the Voucher.
6. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher, eg, 012345678912.
7. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.
8. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the pop-up window. This may take several minutes.
