Students and parents alike have been looking forward to the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2023/2024.
After a rigorous period of examinations, candidates have been eagerly awaiting news about when they can expect their results.
We are pleased to inform you that we obtained exclusive information regarding the crucial dates for script checking, coordination, marking, and, most importantly, the expected release date of WASSCE results. Read on to stay informed!

WASSCE 2023/2024 Script Marking Schedule
- Zonal/Team Leaders Coordination: The coordination phase has already been concluded.
- Assistant Examiners: From the 6th to the 9th of November 2023, assistant examiners actively contributed their expertise to the evaluation of the examination scripts.
- Marking Commences: The marking of WASSCE scripts commenced on the 9th of November 2023, and ended on the 23rd of November 2023. This is the heart of the process, where the dedicated team of examiners were diligently evaluated and graded the papers.
WASSCE 2023/2024 Results Release Date
After much anticipation, we are pleased to inform you that the WASSCE results are scheduled to be released on the anticipated date. Based on the outlined marking schedule, it is highly likely that the results will be officially released within the second week of December 2023.
WASSCE 2023/2024 Statistics
A total of 447,204 candidates, made up of 211,834 males and 235,370 females drawn from 975 schools, entered for the examination. This figure indicates an increase of 5.8% compared to the 2022 entry figure of 422,883.
The examination took place at 834 centres across the country. A total of sixty (60) subjects, comprising four (4) core and fifty-six (56) electives, were made available to prospective candidates to choose from.
