The Reporting Date for SHS1 Students has Been Reaffirmed by the GES

The Ghana Education Service has officially affirmed the much-anticipated reporting date for first-year students, and it is time for parents, students, and the public to mark their calendars.

According to the Placement form, the reporting date for SHS 1 students is set for the 4th of December.

GES is expecting schools to start the registration and orientation process for the new students on December 4. This crucial period will set the tone for the students’ transition to the next phase of their education.

The academic calendar further outlines that a well-deserved Christmas break will commence on the 21st of December, allowing students to spend quality time with their families and recharge for the upcoming semester.

Classes are scheduled to resume on the 3rd of January, continuing uninterrupted until the 5th of March 2024.

As the academic year progresses, the Service encourages all students who are yet to complete their self-placement to do so promptly. This will not only facilitate a smoother administrative process but also ensure that everyone is ready to dive into the academic challenges that lie ahead.

GES notes that the collaborative effort of all stakeholders in supporting the CSSPS process is highly appreciated. The commitment and patience shown thus far have been instrumental in reaching this point.

It is imperative that this momentum proceeds to ensure the seamless implementation of the SHS academic calendar, bringing us back to the pre-Covid rhythm.
