WAEC Apologizes to ASTS
The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has apologized to Action Secondary Technical School in Madina for wrongfully indicting them for participating in examination malpractice.
It will be recalled that WAEC named a tall list of schools they believed, engaged in syndicate cheating during the 2022 WASSCE.
WAEC has admitted that they were wrong and they expressed remorse for their actions. They made this information known in their recent press release in which they announced the release of the 2022 WASSCE provisional results.

During the Council’s Second Update to the media on September 16, 2022, Action Secondary Technical School, Madina was wrongly cited as one of the schools caught engaging in Syndicate Cheating. The school that should have been named in the alleged case of Syndicate Cheating was Madina Senior High School, which was writing their examination at Action Secondary Technical School (ASTS).
