15% Cost of Living Allowance for Organized Labour: Full Details
Organized Labour called off the 10 days old industrial action after the government agreed to a 15% Cost of Living Allowance effective 1st July 2022.

15% Cost of Living Allowance for Organized Labour: Full Agreement Details
AGREEMENT ON COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE (COLA)
THIS AGREEMENT is made this 14thh Day of July 2022
Between
The Government of Ghana, represented by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), Ministry of Education and Ministry of National Security (hereinafter called “The Employer”) on one part,
AND
Organized Labour, comprising identifiable workers Unions and Associations within the Public Service of Ghana (hereinafter called (“Labour”) of the other party.
Whereas, the parties negotiated on the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for workers in the Public Sector and reached consensus for 2022 as follows.
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
- That the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) will be paid at a rate of 15% of base pay.
- That the effective date of payment of the COLA is 1st July 2022.
- That all industrial actions underway and threats of same will be called off immediately, and that Labour would return to work forthwith.
