Two officers of the Ghana Police have been caught in a video abusing an unarmed suspect who is not resisting arrest. He pleaded that he was not the owner of the bag and that they should allow him some breathing space, but that was not heeded.
The question is, are the police not supposed to have overpowered him and put handcuffs on him instead of the unwarranted beating and kicking seen in the viral video?
One of the officers stepped on his chest multiple times. The question is don’t they have cuffs they could have cuffed him rather than beating him like this what if is not marijuana after all thinking?”
These 2 police officers assaulted the man in Asankragwa in the Western North Region over a bag they suspected contained Marijuana!
However, while the unarmed man explains he knows nothing about the said bag, the police continued to manhandle him. They kicked him in the abdomen and dished out blows into his tummy and face.

Reactions from the public…
“This is not assault, the man resisted and I hope u didn’t expect the police men to kneel and beg the man to comply, u should learn how to report your news”
“How will they come with an unofficial car and expect me to comply and sit in the car just because they claim to be the police. They did this in Nkoranza some months ago and they killed the young man. Nothing was done about it.”
“This is not good but why is he also struggling with the police officers? Some people just don’t know how to let go”
“You saw him struggling? He never punched back or we watched different video”
