2021 BECE Registration for School Candidates Ends May 14th – Check Full Details

The Ghana Education Service in a press release has set 15th March 2021 for commencing the 2021 BECE registration.
The registration ends on May 14th, 2021 for phase one. The West African Examination Council has detailed the explanations for the registration in audio/visuals materials for all schools to ensure an effective and error-free registration for candidates in JHS3 who will write the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The illegal registration of JHS1 and JHS2 candidates would not be entertained in the 2021 BECE registration.
According to the Ghana Education Service, it is illegal for any school or head teacher to register candidates that are not students in their schools. It is also illegal to register candidates who are not in Junior High School Three.
It further directed that all students who sat for the BECE in previous years are to register as re-sitters in the ongoing 2021 BECE registration for Private Candidates.

The BECE Registration for school candidates would be in two phases. In phase one, schools are expected to collect the biodata of candidates. In addition data on subjects, the candidates are registering for must be provided. This information must be made available to GES/WAEC on or before May 14th, 2021.
The second phase which is dedicated to school selection and entering of students’ continuous assessment scores will commence on June 14th and end on July 30th, 2021.
