2023 NOVDEC (Private WASSCE) Results Released, 289 results withheld, 26.94% obtain grade F in Maths

WAEC has released the much-anticipated 2023 NOVDEC (private WASSCE) results. In a press release by WAEC, it was indicated that 289 results have been withheld pending investigations of alleged examination malpractices.

Per the examination statistics, 26.94% of candidates who sat the Core Mathematics paper obtained a grade of F. Those who obtained a grade of F for integrated science were 17.38% of the total candidates who wrote the paper.

All 37,825 candidates sat for the 2023 NOVDEC examination.

PRESS RELEASE ON 2023 NOVDEC (Private WASSCE) Results Released

RELEASE OF PROVISIONAL RESULTS FOR THE WEST AFRICAN SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (WASSCE) FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES, 2023 – SECOND SERIES

The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform its numerous stakeholders that it has released provisional results of 37,825 candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2023 – Second Series. The entry figure comprises 17,389 males and 20,725 females. The total figure includes 16 visually impaired candidates. A total of 1,231candidates who registered for the examination were absent.

The results of 289 candidates alleged to have been involved in various cases of examination malpractice have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into the cases of malpractice. These malpractices include collusion, impersonation, bringing foreign materials, including mobile phones, into the examination hall and seeking external assistance among others.

The withheld results of candidates will be released or cancelled based on the outcome of investigations. The results are available online at www.waecgh.org.

Institutions and organisations are therefore advised to confirm or verify results presented to them directly from WAEC, access the confirmation/verification service online at the WAEC website or download the WAEC QR Code.
