2024/2025 Term 3 Week Endings, Holidays, Reopening and Vacation Dates Out

The 2024/2025 Term 3 for the academic year starts on May 5th, 2025, in all public and private schools. The term will bring the 2024/2025 academic year to an end. The term will end on Friday, 25th July, 2025.

This means that schools will have a 12-week term. The term will have 9 weeks of active academic work from week 1 to 9, followed by revision in week 10, examinations in week 11, and vacation in week 12.

2024-2025 Term 3 Week Endings

Week 1 ends on 9th May, 2025
Week 2 ends on 16th May, 2025
Week 3 ends on 23rd May, 2025
Week 4 ends on 30th May, 2025
Week 5 ends on 6th June, 2025.

The 5th week has a holiday, Eid-Ul-Adha, which falls on a Saturday but is likely to be pushed to Monday, 11th June, as a public holiday. This holiday led to the change in the start date of the 2025 BECE from 11th June to 11th June 2025.

Week 6 ends on 13th June, 2025

The 2025 BECE will start on Wednesday this week, thus, from 11th June, 2025. Students will break after the Friday papers and report for the remaining papers on Monday, 16th June, 2025. The exam ends on Wednesday, 18th June 2025.

Week 7 ends on 20th June, 2025.
Week 8 ends on 27th June, 2025.
Week 9 ends on 4th July, 2025
Week 10 ends on 11th July, 2025

Week 10 will be the revision week for the term in all schools.

Week 11 ends on 18th July, 2025
This week is when the promotional examinations for all schools start and end. Public schools are likely to have their National Standardised Test this week.
