The 2025 BECE ended on Wednesday 18th June 2025 with the Arabic paper however, the BECE results are projected to be released by end of July, 2025 by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
WAEC disclosed the tentative date during an interview with Citi Eyewitness News on Tuesday June 17. Mr.John Kapi, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, said the BECE marking process with be commenced right after the examnation. He promised stakeholders that the results will be ready on schedule for the just ended examination.
“We are now going to sort out and do our marking, but certainly by the end of July the results should certainly be out,” he disclosed during the interview.
Mr. Kapi also reflected positively on WAEC’s conduct of the exams, noting that the Council had largely fulfilled its mandate to provide a smooth and fair examination experience for candidates nationwide.
“I will say that on our part, we will pat ourselves on the back and say that we did a good job,” he said. “Usually after examinations, what you expect as an examining body is that every candidate is provided the opportunity to write—in terms of questions, in terms of stationery. All of these things went to the candidates.”
He acknowledged a few minor logistical challenges, including a vehicle breakdown during the delivery of question papers and delays caused by difficult road conditions in some areas.
However, he emphasised that these were promptly addressed.
“There was one incident where the vehicle broke down while delivering the questions, and for some, I am told the distance and the nature of the road caused a delay on one of the days. But on subsequent days, they provided an extra vehicle, and they were able to make it in good time.”

WAEC’s timely release of the BECE results will allow the Ghana Education Service (GES) to begin the placement of candidates into senior high schools, ensuring a smooth transition into the next phase of their academic journey.
When the 2025 BECE results are released by WAEC, candidates will need to buy a valid result checker to access the result on the WAEC result portal.
