2026/2027 School Placements: Release Rescheduled, Results Now Expected on September 4
The release of the 2026/2027 school placement results has been rescheduled by the Ministry of Education.
The placement results were originally expected to be released on Monday, August 31, 2026.
However, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that the release has been moved to Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Ministry explained that the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time.
The extra time will allow schools and parents to complete the submission and uploading of students’ information.
Why the 2026/2027 school placement results have been delayed
According to the Ministry of Education, some students’ school choices have not yet been uploaded to the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).

The Ministry said its data shows that about 20,000 qualified students have not yet had their school choices uploaded to the CSSPS platform.
These pending submissions could prevent affected students from participating properly in the placement process.
The extension is therefore intended to give schools, parents and guardians more time to complete the outstanding requirements.
New date for 2026/2027 school placement results
The Ministry has now rescheduled the release of the 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results from:
Monday, August 31, 2026 to: Friday, September 4, 2026.
This means students and parents should not expect the 2026/2027 school placement results to be released on August 31, despite the earlier schedule.
The new extension also applies to placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
Ministry urges parents and schools to act
The Ministry of Education has strongly urged parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to use the additional time to submit all outstanding information.
The Ministry said the extension is necessary to ensure that all qualified students have their information properly recorded on the CSSPS platform.
The goal is to ensure that pending submissions do not prevent eligible students from taking part in the placement process.

The Ministry maintained that it remains committed to a fair, transparent, efficient and orderly school placement process.
It said the process is intended to give every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in an SHS or TVET institution.

The Ministry’s announcement provides parents, students and schools with additional time to complete any outstanding school selection and data submission requirements before the new placement deadline.
