What Is the Latest 2026 BECE Result Update for Candidates and Parents?

1. The marking of the 2026 BECE administered by WAEC from May 4th to May 11th, 2026, has been completed according to WAEC’s public relations officer, Mr. John Kapi.
2. According to him, WAEC is expected to release the 2026 results for Junio High School graduates before the end of the month of July. In an interview granted by Mr. John Kapi, he specifically indicates that the results are expected to be released not later than 15th July 2026.
3. The release of the results of the 2026 BECE is very critical, as it will set in motion the next phase of the examination process. Prior to the start of the 2026 examination, the Ministry of Education disclosed that candidates of the examination will only select secondary schools they want to be considered for only after the West African Examination Council has released their results.
4. The new directive, according to the MoE and stakeholders, aims at helping reduce the issues of non-placement of candidates as well as the high number of candidates that use the self-placement module each year.
5. According to the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, BECE graduates will only select schools after the release of the results. However, the ministry failed to outline the detailed modalities that will guide the school selection process.
6. In the coming days, the MoE and the Ghana Education Service (GES) are expected to roll out sensitization programs aimed at educating the general public on the new school selection system.

Deep-throat sources at the Ministry of Education have hinted at that.

1. Cutoff points will be introduced for each school category to help students make the right and informed choices when it comes to school selection.
2. Candidates will choose up to eight (8) schools along with their programs and accommodation options they prefer.
3. Students will choose up to two category A schools.

2. Enter your index number, BECE checker pin, and serial number.
3. Enter the exam year
