Ghana Education News | 42021 GES teacher recruitment promise without govt clearance & the weak TTAG leadership. Let us dissect it and extract the truth by the end of this article.
It was all excitement when the government announced it was going to recruit some 40,000 teaching and non-teaching staff on World Teachers Day. Do you know we are barely 90 days away from the end of the year and that there is no clearance for the recruitment process to commence?
Is this a mere puff for the occasion or teachers are being taken for granted?
A concerned teacher writes on the 40000 GES teacher recruitment promise saying…
It’s high time TTAG act as leaders and stop acting as spectators, The Ministry of education on world teachers day told the general public that they will recruit 40,000 teaching and non-teaching staff this year(2021).
Now they told TTAG that there is no financial clearance yet,
So my questions are as follows:
1. On what clearance did they get the 40,000 teaching and non-teaching staff to be recruited this year?
2. If there is no financial clearance how did they get that number?
3. Did ttag find out how they(Ministry of Education) got that number to announce to the general public?
And speaking about the change in the academic calendar, the 2019 batch the portal was opened in the middle of September, but the posting was released on the 3rd of December almost three months, when they were asked about the delay in releasing the posting they said it was because unqualified people applied and they have to go through verification which makes the process to long and hence causes delays.

And the appointment took effect in January.
If the above precedent is anything to go by, then there are more questions.
1. Is it not the same process they are going to use to recruit or this time unqualified people will not apply and no so there will be no verification process?
2. Is the academic year not starting in the same January, as this year?.

TTAG Should stand up and fight a good fight for its members as leaders and stop behaving like spectators.
Indeed the 2021 GES teacher recruitment hint is a mere recruitment promise without govt clearance. Do you agree?
