Checks conducted showed that the five are students of CHIANA SHS located in the UPPER EAST Region at Chiana of Kasena-Nankani West district.
In the viral video, the five students were seen and heard insulting and defaming Nana Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO, President of the Republic of GHANA.
Details of the five students identified showed they are SHS2 students offering Science, Home Economics, and Visual Arts in the school. Their names have been made public which is unfortunate, however, Ghanaeducation.org will not make the names of the students known to the public as part of this story.

The school authorities have confirmed the identity of the student according to our sources. The video in which the 5 SHS students were insulting President Akufo Addo was allegedly recorded and circulated on 10/11/2022.
According to Ivy Betur NAASO the headmistress of CHIANA SHS, the school has initiated disciplinary procedures on the five students and an investigation is yet to commence on the circumstances of the video recording and the utterances and gestures made in the video.
Parents of the five students have also been invited to the school to assist with the investigation.

There is currently calm in the school and the situation is being monitored per our sources.
It is hoped that these students will be counselled and given the right corrective support to ensure they stay within the boundaries of the school rules and exhibit good and acceptable behaviour.
