Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the prominent convener of the #FixTheCountry movement, has announced his resignation from both the #FixTheCountry and #OccupyJulorbiHouse movements. In a Twitter post on November 17, 2023, Barker-Vormawor unveiled a series of alleged humiliations he faced during his three-year tenure as a leading figure in anti-government protests.
Here are the eight alleged humiliations Oliver Barker-Vormawor detailed:
1. Seizure of Passport
Barker-Vormawor claimed that one of the humiliations was his passport was seized, restricting his freedom of movement and international travel due to his involvement in multiple protests against the government.
2. Treason Trial
Barker-Vormawor claimed that another of the humiliations was that he faced a treason trial, charged with allegedly calling for a coup and criticizing the military for not intervening in what he described as the government’s mismanagement of the economy.
3. Jail Time
Barker-Vormawor claimed that one of the humiliations was that he had spent time in prison on three separate occasions, citing one or two of those instances.
4. Halting of Ph.D. Program
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations asserted his Ph.D. program at the University of Cambridge had been put on hold, impacting his academic pursuits.
5. Cyberbullying
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations was facing cyberbullying, highlighting the toll that online harassment has taken on his overall well-being.

6. Surveillance of Home with Communication Devices
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations was that his home was subjected to surveillance, with communication devices installed throughout.
7. Separation from Family
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations was that hee had to be separated from his family amid his leadership as the convener of the anti-government group.
8. Multiple Arrests
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations was enduring five separate arrests in a legal battle with law enforcement agencies in his role to lead demonstrations.
