The University of Ghana (UG) SRC president, Maradona Adjei Yeboah (GURU), has announced 50 scholarships for WASSCE applicants who gain admission to the premier university.
In his letter announcing the scholarships, he congratulated all 2024 WASSCE graduates on their success in the exams following the release of their results.
According to the scholarship details, GURU indicated that 50 deserving students will receive scholarships covering their tuition fees and a stipend for upkeep.

How to Apply for the UG SRC President’s 50 Scholarships
Interested applicants must email the following details:
- Full name of the candidate
- Home region of the candidate
- A copy of the WASSCE result
- A statement of purpose (not more than 150 words) explaining their aspirations and why they deserve the assistance.

In a related development, the University of Ghana has advised all applicants, including 2024 WASSCE candidates, to visit the admissions portal to verify their biodata, including name, date of birth, index number, and selected courses.
The university will close its admissions portal at midnight on 3rd January 2024, after which admissions will be released. Applicants are also advised to carefully review the 2024/2025 admission cut-off points for all programs and make necessary changes to their selected programs of interest before the deadline.
