    i. How many protons, electrons, and neutrons are present in the atom? (3 marks)
    ii. Using a labelled diagram, show the electronic configuration of the atom. Your diagram should include the positions of the protons and electrons, and the arrangement of electrons in the respective shells. (4 marks)
    b. i. List two human activities that interfere with the natural carbon cycle. (2 marks)
    ii. State two environmental effects resulting from the disruption of the carbon cycle. (2 marks)

c. Explain briefly how a capacitor stores and releases electrical energy during the processes of charging and discharging. (3 marks)

d. i. Identify three key differences between igneous rocks and sedimentary rocks. (3 marks)
ii. Briefly explain the process by which metamorphic rocks are formed. (3 marks)
