53-yr-old man jailed 15 years for having s3x with his wife’s 12-yr-old niece is the latest odd news coming in from Afuaman near Ablekumah in the Greater Accra Region.

The 15 years jail term was handed to him by an Accra Circuit Court for defiling his wife’s 12-year-old niece.

The convicted, Amadu Moro, was found guilty by Christina Cann, the judge who presided over the case.

Moro was found guilty on the charge of defilement.

After carefully reviewing the evidence and the charge against him, the Court found the defendant guilty. In addition, the Court took into account the offence’s inherent seriousness, the level of abhorrence it induced, and its premeditation.

At the time of the crime, the victim was the complainant’s niece, and the prosecution, led by Inspector Opoku Aniagyei, presented the facts and indicated that in October 2021, the complainant woke up to urinate only to see the accused having s3x with the victim.

According to the prosecution, the victim was sent to the Nima Police Station after the incident and a medical form was issued so that she could receive medical treatment. The accused was arrested by the police, but he denied the charges in his preliminary hearing. Police documents indicated that the victim had been s3xually assaulted.
