30 Days of 2022 BECE Challenge: Tip 4 On How To Pass Any Exams (Know what the examiners are looking)
Passing an examination requires that candidates are able to tell what the examiner wants as answers to a question and how they should be written to secure or earn all the marks allocated.
One way to find out this during your preparation is to get marking schemes for the previous examinations and mock papers. These documents give you the answers required for each question, but, be very careful in using them.
When revising with mock papers from your school, do well to solve all the mock questions you did not choose or answer during the main mock and work on your weaknesses as far as those papers are concerned.

Marking schemes are often just skeletons of the answers. You often need to explain the points raised and support them with good examples to score good marks.
Find out exactly what the examiners are looking for by having a thorough read of the mark scheme for each of your subjects and noting what sorts of things are awarded extra points (and whether points are deducted for anything).
Taking a look at the syllabus or exam-related content should also give you an indication of the full range of topics you may be queried on so that nothing comes as a surprise when you turn over the question paper. At this stage, if you spot an area that you think needs work, ask a teacher or coach for advice.
Revise the last five past papers. For BECE candidates taking the 2022 BECE, questions to revise are BECE papers for the years 2020,2019,2018,2017, and 2016.
We hope this Tip 4 On How To Pass Any Exams (Know what the examiners are looking for) was helpful.
