Unemployed University Diploma Graduate Teachers (UUDGRAT) in Ghana have petitioned Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum the incoming Education Minister to consider them for posting.
We’re begging the incoming Minister of education to consider graduates with diplomas in early childhood education and basic education”: The group said in a petition copied to Ghanaeducation.org.
The teachers have indicated that Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum is their hope of survival and relevance because he is a professional teacher and understands their current challenges.
These teachers are graduates who have been awarded teachers license by the National Teaching Council (NTC) and have completed their mandatory National Service.
The Unemployed University Diploma Graduate believe it is time they are considered so that they can contribute meaningfully to education in Ghana.
Per their petition, they met all the requirements for posting by the Ghana Education Service, to serve as teaching staff, they are yet to catch the attention of the Education Ministry.
In the petition signed by its president Mr. Sadzi Williams Kofi Mawuli to the incoming Education Minister, the group argued that all its members had completed the registration for recruitment on the portal of the service when it opened between 2nd November 2020 to 31st November 2020.

However, to our utmost surprise, our comrades with Degree were given priority over us as it was conspicuously stated that only Graduates with Bachelor : The petition indicated
None of them was posted after the release of postings according to the group.
