Captain Smart said that the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is being treated badly by Akans who work at Jubilee House, which is the president’s office.
The Onua FM/TV morning show host says that he has noticed that the vice president, who was supposed to be in charge of the Economic Management Team (EMT), has been “relieved” of his duties. Since he is no longer in charge of the EMT, he cannot be blamed for Ghana’s sinking economy.
Blessed Godsbrain Smart said on his show on Monday, October 24, that the “Akyem mafias” at the presidency have humiliated the vice president, just as former President Mahama said they would.

He said that the “Akyem mafias” had taken away some of the vice president’s rights, making him powerless in this government.
“Even the money for the Vice President’s office has been stopped because he is from the north and no one respects him. But, as you can see, there are other parts of the Vice President’s job that have been taken away from him. So, Bawumia is hurting, but he can’t tell anyone.
“So, I’ve taken Dr. Bawumia out of Ghana’s economic equation, but I’ll still say his name because his own words are coming back to haunt him. See, Dr. Bawumia is hurting the most under this government, trust me. When was the last time you heard Bawumia’s wife, Samira, speak?
“None of the Akans at the Jubilee House respect Bawumia; they don’t respect our vice president. I would have quit if I were him. “Captain Smart stressed that no Akan at the top of the government respects Bawumia because they have made him useless.
