FDA Issues Strong Warning To The Public On Dangerous Products On The Market

The FDA has warned people about the side effects of Astoc weight loss products.

The Ghanaian Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has asked people to stop buying and using some unregistered weight loss products because they have a lot of bad side effects.

According to the FDA, Ascot Diet weight loss products made by the Ascot Diet Clinic are not only not registered with the government, but they can also cause people to have severe allergic reactions.

“The FDA wants the public to know that Ascot Diet weight loss products made by the Ascot Diet Clinic have not been registered by the Authority, and using them could cause severe allergic reactions like itching, hives, shortness of breath, wheezing, swelling of the tongue, throat, or mouth, stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, or fainting because of the sudden boost in minerals and nutrients,” the FDA said in a statement.

“The FDA wants to tell people to stop buying medicines that aren’t registered by the Authority because they can’t be sure of their safety, quality, or effectiveness.

“Importers of these weight loss products should know that Sections 99 and 118 of the Public Health Act, 2012, Act 851 make it illegal to bring unregistered products into the country and sell them. When they were caught, offenders would get harsh punishments,” the FDA said.
