The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has reminded 2022 WASSCE Candidates of Exam Rules Again Head of the Release of Results.
It is not entirely clear why WAEC decided to report the exam rules and the punitive measures at this time when students are anxiously waiting for the release of the results to help them complete their university admission processes.
WAEC’s reminder of the examination rules touched on five key rules which may cause serious problems for candidates who book them during the examination.

This move by WAEC is not a common practice. Let us look at the rules WAEC touched on.
Top among the rules WAEC publish today the 14th of November for both Private and school Candidates of WASSCE were as follows
#1. Bringing foreign materials such as notes, textbooks, prepared notes, etc. Such offences lead to the cancellation of the subject results of a student.
#WAEC will cancel the entire results of a candidate who enters the exam materials such as programmed calculators, mobile phones, and other related items.
#3. Collusion with others, thus assisting on or receiving any form of illegal support during an exam.
#4. Impersonating others by accepting to write the examination for another candidate. This examination offence leads to the cancellation of the entire results.
These reminders must serve as a strong warning for WASSCE candidates writing the Nov-Dec examination, and at the same time serve as a warning of things to come for candidates who will be found to have engaged in any of these irregularities in the just-ended WASSCE and BECE for school candidates.

WAEC is expected to release the 2022 WASSCE results for school candidates before the end of the year. That of BECE candidates is also expected before December 31st, 2022, or early January 2023. Both results will aid candidates to further their education at the University and the Secondary school for WASSCE and BECE graduates, respectively.
